Zapstore _@zapstore.dev One reader. Every device. Local-first RSS reader with optional cloud sync.
Republished from GitHub / F-Droid by the Zapstore main account.
One reader. Every device. Keryx is a local-first, cross-platform RSS reader. By default, all of your data lives on your device; turn on cloud sync only if you want the same subscriptions, read/starred status, and articles to follow you between your phone and your desktop. FEATURES • Multi-device sync via your own cloud storage (Dropbox or OneDrive) — no account with Keryx itself, ever. (Google Drive sync, available in the Google Play and GitHub builds, is not part of the F-Droid build because it needs Google Play services.) • Local-first: works fully offline, with no sync required • Fast local full-text search across article titles and content • Organize feeds with tags (cross-cutting labels) and folders (hierarchical grouping) • RSS 2.0 and Atom 1.0 support (RSS 1.0/RDF is also loosely parsed) • OPML import and export, for moving to or from other RSS readers and for backing up your subscriptions • Completely free — no freemium tiers, no trial period, no ads • Open source — the full source code is public and can be inspected or modified by anyone PRIVACY Keryx has no user accounts and no server operated by its developer. There is nothing to sign up for, and nothing that its developer's own infrastructure ever receives. The app includes no analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, advertising, or tracking of any kind. The F-Droid build contains no Google Play services and never checks for updates itself — F-Droid does that. Keryx talks only to servers directly relevant to what you're doing: the feeds you subscribe to (and their favicons) and — only if you connect one — Dropbox or OneDrive for sync. Nothing else. - Oct 18, 2026 0.26.0## What's Changed in v0.26.0 ### New Features - **iOS / iPadOS:** Settings now has an About page with the app version, support links, the privacy policy and the terms. The contact address is shown right on the page, so it can be found even on a device with no mail account set up. ([#270](https://github.com/shimataro/keryx/pull/270)) ### Improvements - Cloud providers are now listed in the order Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive everywhere. Google Drive is the only one that is unavailable on some builds and devices, so listing it last keeps the other two in the same place on every platform. ([#269](https://github.com/shimataro/keryx/pull/269)) - Setup and Settings ▸ Cloud sync now show each cloud provider by name only, without a logo, so all three rows look alike. ([#272](https://github.com/shimataro/keryx/pull/272), [#275](https://github.com/shimataro/keryx/pull/275))

- **macOS / iOS:** The notification permission prompt no longer appears over the first-run Setup screen. It is shown once Setup is finished, or when you turn notifications on. ([#270](https://github.com/shimataro/keryx/pull/270)) - **macOS / iOS:** The reader is more tightly locked down. An article's own scripts can no longer replace the article with another page or open pages in your browser without a real click. Links you click open in your external browser (http/https only), and embedded content such as videos still works. ([#270](https://github.com/shimataro/keryx/pull/270)) ### Bug Fixes - **macOS / iOS:** Feeds, favicons and article content served over an explicit `http://` URL now load. Before, the system's App Transport Security blocked them. ([#270](https://github.com/shimataro/keryx/pull/270)) - **iOS:** The reader no longer stays blank after iOS shuts down its web content process in the background, for example while a link is open in the browser. ([#279](https://github.com/shimataro/keryx/pull/279)) - **iOS:** Fixed several pull-to-refresh problems: - The indicator now stays up for at least about a second instead of vanishing mid-pull, and the article list's spinner no longer flickers. - The sidebar's pull now shows its spinner. - The spinner comes back after you return from the feed list. - After the first pull, the list settles back at the top. - Selecting another item now drops the spinner. ([#280](https://github.com/shimataro/keryx/pull/280)) - **iOS:** Changing the theme while the Settings sheet is open now takes effect at once, without reopening the sheet. ([#281](https://github.com/shimataro/keryx/pull/281)) - **iPad:** The sidebar and article list columns no longer get stuck at their minimum widths, which had truncated feed names. ([#276](https://github.com/shimataro/keryx/pull/276)) - **iOS:** An `.opml` file opened from Files (including iCloud Drive and other providers) is now read in place, so a file that has not been downloaded yet still imports. A Settings page opened directly, for example from an opened file or a notification, no longer draws a large title over its first row. ([#273](https://github.com/shimataro/keryx/pull/273)) - **iPad:** The app now supports every orientation, as iPad multitasking requires. ([#270](https://github.com/shimataro/keryx/pull/270)) ### Build & CI - Added a workflow that builds, uploads and submits the iOS app to App Store review. It only builds commits on a version branch, and its signing and API credentials are kept away from any job that has write access. The release scripts were generalized so the macOS release and the App Store workflow share them. ([#283](https://github.com/shimataro/keryx/pull/283), [#284](https://github.com/shimataro/keryx/pull/284)) - The Apple build now includes a privacy manifest and the export-compliance declaration. CI checks the built app for every App Store requirement, so a later configuration change can't drop one without anyone noticing. ([#270](https://github.com/shimataro/keryx/pull/270)) - CI is faster: the shared Apple framework is cached, tag pushes are skipped, and a newer push to a feature branch cancels the older run. ([#268](https://github.com/shimataro/keryx/pull/268)) ### Documentation - The privacy policy and terms now cover iOS / iPadOS and use clearer wording about the app never sending data to its developer. The security notes now list the hosts the app contacts. ([#270](https://github.com/shimataro/keryx/pull/270), [#274](https://github.com/shimataro/keryx/pull/274), [#278](https://github.com/shimataro/keryx/pull/278)) - Added the App Store listing (English and Japanese), screenshots for iPhone and iPad, and the submission checklist and review notes. ([#270](https://github.com/shimataro/keryx/pull/270), [#272](https://github.com/shimataro/keryx/pull/272), [#277](https://github.com/shimataro/keryx/pull/277)) ### Other Changes - Updated the internal code-review guidelines. They now cover the Swift app and platform configuration, add rules on error-message wording, and add a "least surprise" principle to the UI spec. ([#282](https://github.com/shimataro/keryx/pull/282)) **Full Changelog**: https://github.com/shimataro/keryx/compare/v0.25.0...v0.26.0 - Oct 10, 2026 0.25.0## What's Changed in v0.25.0 ### Improvements - The macOS release is now the native SwiftUI app, signed with a Developer ID, notarized, and updated through Sparkle. This replaces the previous unsigned Compose macOS package. ([#267](https://github.com/shimataro/keryx/pull/267)) - Improved error messages when macOS update checks fail, distinguishing between network errors, unreachable update feeds, and other issues. ([#267](https://github.com/shimataro/keryx/pull/267)) ### Bug Fixes - Fixed macOS update check failure classification to correctly detect nested network errors and offline conditions reported by Sparkle. ([#267](https://github.com/shimataro/keryx/pull/267))

### Build & CI - Replaced the Compose macOS release job with the SwiftUI one in the release workflow; missing signing or notarization secrets now fail the release instead of falling back to an unsigned build. ([#267](https://github.com/shimataro/keryx/pull/267)) ### Documentation - Updated README, SECURITY, PRIVACY, and developer docs to describe the new native macOS app, its sandboxed data location, and Keychain-only token storage. ([#267](https://github.com/shimataro/keryx/pull/267)) ### Other Changes - Refactored Sparkle error handling into a testable classifier that accepts framework constants from the caller. ([#267](https://github.com/shimataro/keryx/pull/267)) **Full Changelog**: https://github.com/shimataro/keryx/compare/v0.25.0-alpha.2...v0.25.0
