(part of #134) • All chats now takes as many pinned chats as a folder does instead of five, and the extra pins stay on this device. Based on Telegram 12.10.1. What's New • A new keep-alive service notification keeps the app connected in the background so messages arrive while the screen is off. Tap the notification to hide it. • You can now choose between Mercurygram's built-in push gateway and your own gateway, and set a matching VAPID key, from Settings → Push notifications. • When you open, paste, or share links into Mercurygram, click-tracking parameters such as utm_*, fbclid, gclid, igsh and site-specific ones from YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X and Amazon are stripped automatically, leaving the rest of the address intact. • The photo editor now preserves the exact orientation your camera recorded when cropping, so saved photos no longer appear rotated sideways. • Voice message transcripts now record which model and language produced them, and can be marked as stale if the on-device model no longer matches. Improved • Push delivery is more reliable: the app re-registers cleanly with the gateway when its address or signing key changes, and bare wake-up pushes no longer spin the keep-alive loop. • A new "Updating..." state for the open chat's history no longer sticks during ongoing network changes.

What's New • Disable proximity sensor, a device-wide toggle under Settings → Mercurygram → Media, for phones whose sensor misfires: the screen stays on when the phone is near your face during calls and voice message playback. Raise-to-listen and the switch to the ear speaker stop working while it is on. • UnifiedPush has its own screen under Settings → Mercurygram → Notifications. It lists the installed distributors, shows the registration state until the one you picked answers, and carries the gateway setting. Long-press a distributor for recent notification and decryption statistics. • Tor has its own screen too, reachable both from Settings → Mercurygram → Privacy and from Settings → Data and Storage → Proxy Settings, which means it can be turned on from the login screen and an account logged in over Tor. Improved • Turning UnifiedPush off applies immediately instead of restarting the app, and revokes both device tokens on Telegram's side. • While Tor is on it owns the connection: adding, selecting or removing a regular proxy is refused with a hint instead of quietly rerouting, and the proxy you had before is restored when you turn Tor off. • Saved message history now also keeps your own messages when the other side deletes them, and a saved copy can be removed with the usual Delete.

What's New • Live character counter above the message field, counting the same unit bots see, for groups where a bot deletes messages over a length limit. • Strip tracking parameters (utm_*, fbclid, gclid and similar) from links you open and from links you paste into a message. • Keep drafts on this device, so text you never sent is not uploaded to Telegram's servers. • Confirm Telegram links: t.me and tg:// links now go through the same confirmation dialog external links use, so a tap can't join a channel or apply a proxy before you have read the address. • A built-in "Google FCM" entry in the UnifiedPush distributor menu, for devices that have Play Services and no distributor app installed. • Less media I/O and decoding work, and several upstream slowdowns on accounts with many chats are gone. Fixed • The Android 16 heads-up notification listed every unread chat instead of the chat the new message came from.
