Features: KeepOn is free and open-source (FOSS), without any ads/tracks and no Internet use. KeepOn allows you to keep your device's screen on for the desired duration and also allows you to return to the default settings automaticaly when the screen turns off. KeepOn adapts to your device's configuration to easy use! A Tasker/Locale plugin is integrated and allows you to use KeepOn functions from another compatible application! - Aug 16, 2026 2.2.1### New: Tasker / Locale event plugin - KeepOn now exposes a Tasker event condition in addition to the existing action plugin, so your automations can react to KeepOn instead of only driving it. - New event: "Reset on screen off" — fires the instant KeepOn restores the default screen timeout because the screen turned off (the "reset on screen off" option). - Works as an Event in Tasker and as a query-able condition for Locale-compatible apps; the plugin answers Tasker's condition queries with a short re-arm window so fast screen-off sequences aren't missed. - New in-app configuration screen to pick the event when adding the condition from Tasker, localized in English, French and Simplified Chinese. ### Fixes - Quick Settings tile no longer crashes during device backup or migration (efb5e27). When Android auto-backup or a device-to-device migration launches the app in a restricted "backup mode" process, SystemUI can still bind the QS tile there — where dependency injection is impossible. The tile now detects this and stays inert for that bind instead of crashing; it behaves normally on the next regular bind. - Restrictive device-admin policies can no longer crash-loop the app (efb5e27). If a device admin enforces a maximum screen-off timeout below the smallest value KeepOn offers (e.g. a maximum-time-to-lock under 15 s), KeepOn now falls back to the policy's own maximum as the default timeout instead of throwing on startup.
