  • The chord lane can name chord roots: it detects the harmony as usual, then names only the root of each chord. Over a C chord with an E underneath it says C, where Bass notes says E. It reads the whole mix, so it needs no audible bass line. Options → Chords, then Re-detect. • The Click tab in Options is split under two headings, Click and Count-in, so it is clear which settings apply to each. • Bass notes now says, in the options and the help, that it needs a track with an audible bass.

  • The click can keep going through the whole loop, not only during the count-in — with its own volume and a low, medium or high pitch, under Options → Click. • The count-in now lands exactly on the beat the audio comes in on, on any device: it plays on the same stream as the track instead of a separate one. • The chord lane can name bass notes instead of chords — the lowest note rather than the harmony over it, which is what a bassist plays when the chord sits on an inversion. Options → Chords. • The chord under the playhead can be shown in large type across the waveform while you play, readable at arm's length. • The Count-in tab is now called Click, since it holds all of the click settings.

  • A track can now hold ten saved loops instead of four, and Save keeps its place beside Arrange however many you have. • Drag the loop chips to put them in the order you practise them. • Recalling a loop scrolls it into view, and loop names stay unique within a track. • New: a short "what's new" note on the first launch after an update. Settings → About reopens it. • Snap, Auto and Tap now sit together as one group; track options move to their own button.

  • Rubber Ring now speaks German, with a language picker under Settings → System → General. • Chords can use German note names — H and B instead of B and B flat (Settings → Playback). • Settings are split into Playback, System and About tabs. • New Support entry in the menu: three ways to help the app along, all of them links out. • Send a recording straight to Rubber Ring from another app, via the share sheet or "Open with". • The licence is now stated in full under About.
