Nexpill keeps track of every dose for the people you care for: when it was given, when the next one can be, and a reminder on the minute when it's due. It was written by a caregiver, for caregivers, and it does all of that on your phone. **The one thing to know, at a glance** Each medication says where it stands right now: due in 8 minutes, overdue by 25, can be given again at 8:19. What needs doing first is at the top, with a button to log the dose. Nexpill does the time arithmetic, across midnight and clock changes, and asks before you log a dose early. **Every kind of schedule** • Every few hours, including odd intervals like 4 h 45 min • At set times of day • As needed, with a minimum gap between doses • Tapers whose interval changes by date **Reminders that arrive on time** Exact alarms held by the phone itself, so they come on the minute: with no signal, in airplane mode, after a restart. Mark a dose given or snooze it straight from the notification. For the doses that can't be missed, a reminder can ring like an alarm clock until someone deals with it. **A record you can trust** Fix a mistaken time with a correction that keeps the original. Note who gave each dose. Track how much is left. Save the history as a spreadsheet, or a plain summary for the doctor. **Your records stay on your phone** • No account, no server, no sync • No internet permission: Android itself stops Nexpill from sending anything anywhere • No analytics, advertising or tracking, and excluded from Android's cloud backup • Back up to a file wherever you choose Nexpill tracks timing. It doesn't give medical advice, recommend doses or check interactions. Nexpill is free and open source under the GNU General Public License, with no ads or premium tier, and it always will be.

### Added - Track your own medications without making up a name for yourself. The first screen asks who the medications are for: "Me" or "Someone I care for". You're "you" throughout: "Your doses", and reminders that say "For you". A name is optional, and the printable summary asks for one if it's missing. Someone already added as "Me" can become you with "This is me" in Rename. There can be one of you on a phone, listed first. ### Changed - Backups are format version 4, which records who on the phone is you.

### Added - A course with an end. Under "How long" when adding or editing a medication, choose a last day ("until the 14th") or a number of doses ("10 doses"). Its card shows what's left, and when the course is over its reminders stop by themselves and it moves to the bottom of the list, history kept. Open it there to make the course longer. - Backups are now format version 2, to carry courses. Older backups still restore; an older Nexpill refuses a new backup and asks to be updated, rather than restoring it without its courses.

### Changed - A taper now finishes when its last step ends: from midnight on the end date it stops reminding and moves to the bottom of the list as "Taper finished", instead of showing the dose as overdue. A taper whose last step has no end date carries on as before. - Saved summaries and dose histories are named the same way, e.g. `nexpill-alex-summary-2026-06-10.txt` and `nexpill-alex-doses-2026-06-10.csv`. ### Fixed - Times follow the phone's 24-hour setting, on screen and in reminders. They always read "7:15 PM" before. - The "Log dose" button no longer sits partly under a 3-button navigation bar, where a tap on it landed on the bar instead. - Correcting a dose whose "Given by" was left blank no longer fills in the last name used. - After a restore, Settings shows the restored people straight away. It showed none, and no summary, until it was reopened. - Correcting a dose now saves exactly what you enter.
