Solo Forge is a free and open source Android fitness app: an intermittent fasting timer, calorie and macro counter, weight tracker, and workout timer in one. No ads, no tracking, fully offline. It is built around local data ownership: * No backend * No accounts * No analytics * No crash reporting * Android cloud backup disabled * Explicit CSV export to a folder you choose Features: * Intermittent fasting timer with 16:8, 18:6, 20:4, and 36 hour modes * State-driven fasting reminders instead of daily notification spam * Food photo analysis using your own OpenRouter API key * Manual meal entry and editable macro estimates * Local calorie and macro goals * Weight history with charting * Simple, interval, and exercise/rest workout timers * Dashboard for fasting, nutrition, weight, workout time, and streaks Solo Forge sends a network request only when you start food photo analysis. That request goes to OpenRouter using the API key you provide. All saved meals, weight entries, workouts, fasting history, settings, and exports remain local to your device. Solo Forge is licensed under GPL-3.0.

Fixes the first-run intro screen, which could hide its Continue button in landscape, on small screens, or with a large font or display size, leaving no way into the app. The intro now scrolls when it doesn't fit.

You can now choose which model analyses your food. Settings offers four tested configurations — **Fastest**, **Balanced**, **Open-weight** and **Most accurate** — each labelled with figures from Solo Forge's own 44-case test set: typical wait, how often it answers without a follow-up question, average calorie error, and rough cost per 1000 analyses. An advanced field takes any OpenRouter model id, marked plainly as untested. The default is unchanged, so leaving Settings alone keeps the app as it was. Accuracy improved for everyone regardless: a serialisation bug meant the app never actually sent its temperature setting, so every provider ran at its own default. Fixing it cut average calorie error by about six percentage points on the test set. "Retry with a stronger model" now appears only on configurations that actually have a stronger model above them, rather than offering a sideways move. **APK signing:** as always, the GitHub APK is debug-key-signed and is not cross-installable with the F-Droid or Google Play builds.

Food analysis is more honest about what it does not know. An estimate now breaks the meal into its components, and when something is genuinely uncertain the app says which thing it is — the portion, the cooking method, hidden oil or sauce — and asks for that detail instead of guessing. A single analysis is now one request rather than a silent chain of up to three, and a stronger model is used only when you tap for it. Live fasting and workout notifications also keep counting correctly when the phone sleeps, and they come back after a reboot.
