Solid Share

Solid Share puts your data back where it belongs: on a Solid pod that you own. A Solid pod is personal online storage that you control — hosted by a provider you choose, or by yourself. Solid Share is an open-source Android app that makes one usable from your phone. Your files, your tickets and passes, your address book: stored in open standards on your own pod, and shared only with the people you choose. FILES • Browse containers and resources in a list or a grid • Upload from your device, or take a photo or video and upload it straight away • Download anything and open it with any compatible app • Duplicate, delete and sort; transfers run in the background SHARING • Share a file or folder with one person by WebID, or with anyone holding the link • Choose the access level: View, Add or Edit • Every share produces a QR code and a link that opens the app for the receiver • "Shared by me" and "Shared with me", both backed by your pod • Widen, narrow or revoke access at any time; the other side is notified • Ask an owner for access when a resource refuses you, and accept or decline requests on your own WALLET • Event tickets, boarding passes, cinema tickets, loyalty cards and coupons, kept as ordinary resources on your pod • Apple Wallet .pkpass import with nothing dropped, and the original file kept alongside • Barcodes re-rendered in the issuer's own symbology, with a brightness boost when you open one • Passes carrying an issuer web service refresh themselves • Add a pass by scanning any barcode, or through an open ticket-QR format any issuer can adopt CONTACTS • An address book on your pod, in the standard vCard vocabulary • Two-way sync with the phone's Contacts app, one Android account per pod • Import from your phone or from a .vcf file, and export everything back out • Duplicate review that suggests merges and never merges behind your back • Pick a share receiver from your address book instead of pasting a WebID ACCOUNTS • Log in with any Solid pod provider — Inrupt, Solid Community, Data Pod, or your own OIDC issuer • Several accounts at once, switched whenever you like • An expired session reconnects in one tap instead of signing you out • Share and edit your own public profile, and view other people's OFFLINE • Everything you have opened is on the device, in an encrypted database, and opens with no connection • Every change queues and sends itself once you are back online • Pin a file to keep its contents available offline NO SERVER OF OURS Solid Share has no backend. Your data moves between your phone and the pod provider you chose, and nowhere else. There is no Solid Share account to create and nothing to sell.
