    # Changelog ### ⭐ New: Favorite verses - You can now mark any verse as a favorite (heart/star toggle on the current verse) and browse them all on a dedicated **Favorites** screen. - Favorites are identified by the combination of text + reference + language, so importing the same verse from two different sources (built-in vs. a custom database) won't create duplicate entries. - Added a new wallpaper-cycling source, "Favorites" (`SOURCE_FAVORITES` in `LocalBibleProvider`) — you can now set the auto-changing wallpaper to cycle through **only your favorited verses** instead of a full built-in/custom database. - The Favorites screen supports swipe-to-remove, and per-verse actions to set a favorite directly as the wallpaper or share it. - Added a **card style** setting for the Favorites list (Settings → Appearance): choose between a "Quote" style (headline verse + divider + action row) and a "Compact" style.     - Added a new **share** action that renders the current verse (with your chosen background, font, size, color, and blur settings) into a shareable image, via a new `ShareVerseManager`. - The generated image can be shared directly through Android's share sheet, or saved to the gallery. - Saving to the gallery uses `MediaStore` on all supported versions — on Android 9 and below (API ≤ 28), this additionally requires the `WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE` permission (scoped storage on API 29+ needs no extra permission). - Sharing goes through a new `FileProvider` (`res/xml/file_paths.xml`), since Android no longer allows sharing raw `file://` URIs between apps. ### 🌍 New: Localized language names - Language names in the verse-language picker are now shown with a localized parenthetical alongside the native name — e.g. a Slovak-language user sees "Italiano (Taliančina)" instead of just "Italiano". - Makes it much easier to recognize a language you don't personally read/speak, since it's now shown in your own app language rather than only in its own native form. ### 📚 New: Switch to a custom verse database directly from the Database screen - Added an option to use a custom verse database directly inside the cusotm databes screen via a new "use" button.
