Astro Loop 1.3. **The Black Market's slot machine is now an arcade cabinet.** In Endless mode the slots have been replaced by BELT RUN, a vintage vector shooter you can actually play. Insert a coin, fly a wire-frame ship through a rock belt, and shoot your way to 999. Every pilot keeps their own score and the cabinet keeps a top-five board. Outside Endless mode it is the same slot machine it always was. **TB-26 tells you where to go.** Some new players were landing at the bar and stopping there, because nothing said the game was three pages wide. Sit on the bar for ten seconds on a first launch and he says the launchpad is next door. Medic, who cannot see who he is talking to, points out that there is nobody there. **Endless mode's asteroid belt scales better.** Contact damage climbs from ten minutes on. Also: the winning card in a Lucky Star draw is held long enough to read, weapon sounds keep up in a busy fight, and corrupted pilots keep their colour through the launch.

**Fixes.** - **Dying on Android 9 no longer takes the game down with it.** Reported on a Galaxy Note 8. I still have no Android 9 device and could not reproduce it on an emulator, which renders through a different graphics stack entirely, so this is still a fix I hope works rather than know works. Below Android 10 the game now draws in software, which costs frame rate on that hardware. That is the deliberate trade: a slower game that survives its own death screen. - **An asteroid pays out once, however fast you were hitting it.** Several shots landing on the same frame used to split the same rock repeatedly, each split running the whole payout again. - **The slot machine is a casino again:** about ¥95 back per ¥100 over a long session. Rascal's rigged machine still pays you far better than the honest one, but it no longer clears the entire Black Market in fifty spins. - **An evolved weapon now replaces its base in the grid**, and the weapon it replaces can no longer be offered to you afterwards. - **Volatile blasts land as the ring reaches you, and grant the same brief invulnerability everything else does.** A chain of them used to deal several full hits in the same instant, which was unsurvivable however you were built. They damage enemies again too. - **Vampiric Core leeches from six targets at most, and the streams show you those six.** The healing no longer scales with how crowded the screen is. - **Solar Storm leaves the boss where it stands, and respects the deflector shield** that stops every other weapon. It used to shove the boss backwards on every strike, in the fight and through the cutscene after it. - **Uninstalling offers to keep your save**, on Android 10 and up. - **A run survives the phone changing shape.** Unfolding a foldable, or going into split-screen, used to end it outright. - **The launch stops buzzing**, including if you background the app mid-drag. It would sometimes keep your device vibrating. - **Bar conversations only name pilots you have actually met.** Install options: - Obtainium users: add this repo for auto-updates. - Direct install: download the APK below (enable "install from unknown sources"). - Also on F-Droid. Free and open source under GPLv3. No ads, no tracking, no internet permission.

Astro Loop 1.2. **Dying now visually rewinds the run.** The freeze on death runs time backwards: asteroids, shots and enemies slide back where they came from while your ship pulls itself together. **Shop cards turn over.** Tap a tile to read what the upgrade actually does, what you have so far and what the next level adds. Hold the same tile to buy it. **Music and sound effects have separate controls.** One button cycles four states: all sound, no sound, music only, effects only. And the slot machine display spells out what each button press did. **TB-26 explains some mechanics.** Your first two flights end with a short briefing at the bar: green is health, blue is shields, star dust is money, double-tap to pause, and how pilots are earned. He is talking to someone MEDIC cannot see, and she has opinions about that.
**He reports the takings too.** Every return home now tells you what the run earned and what your best run stands at. **Losing at 10 minutes earns you a hint.** What he tells you depends on who you were flying, because the two situations need different advice. **Endless mode gets genuinely dangerous.** Asteroid health doubles every four and a half minutes from the eight-minute mark, and never stops. Runs used to flatten out and go on forever; now they end. Reported by a player who held one thumb in roughly one spot for an hour. Get well soon! **Locked pilots tell you what the bar knows.** Once someone drops a hint about a pilot you have not recruited, their card keeps that note instead of showing a `?`, so the hint is still there when you next come looking. Also: the shop tiles say what they do in plain words, Weapon Expansion no longer reads like it takes something away from you, every weapon and evolution card was rewritten to better describe what the weapon does, Pulse Cannon fires straight at what it is aiming at on every level, Scatter Shot's spread is half as wide so more pellets land, radio chatter has its sound back, holding a shop tile buzzes while it fills and again when it buys, and the slot machine stops telling you it hit the jackpot before the reels finish. **Fixes.** - **The game could abort when you died, on some Android 9 devices.** Reported on a Galaxy Note 8, where it happened every single time. I have no Android 9 device, so this is a fix I hope works rather than I know works. - **A finished run could pay you nothing.** If the game crashed or froze on the way back to the bar, the run still counted toward unlocking pilots but the money never arrived. It is banked before the handover now. **On the version number.** If you have seen this release called 1.11 anywhere, this is it. It was renamed to 1.2 so that version numbers sort the way people expect. 1.11 was meant to be 1.1.1, but I decided to just go to 1.2. Astro Loop 1.1. **Momentum Drive now boosts explosive weapons.** Flak Cannon, Flak Barrage, Cluster Bomb, Hunter Killer, Space Mines and Jackpot Mines were missing the bonus, fully or in part. **New arrival scene at the bar.** TB-26 announces each pilot who joins and they answer back. **The bar picks up again quickly after a run** instead of going quiet for a while first. **Shop labels corrected.** Finder's Fee and Scavenger Rig always gave 20% per level. The tiles said 10%. Nothing about the effect changed, only the number printed on them.

**Better on big screens.** On tablets and unfolded foldables the hangar rooms and the combat HUD no longer stretch across the display. Phones are unchanged. Also: the mystery tiles in the shop are readable now, tapping a pilot holds their passive on screen twice as long, and the bar chatter lines up with the counter instead of the screen edge.
