  eQuran has been redesigned to feel more like a complete Islamic companion app, not just a Quran reader. The update focuses on a calmer premium design, easier daily use, better Quran reading tools, improved prayer features, and a cleaner experience across the whole app. # Home The Home page has been redesigned into a daily companion dashboard. It now gives quicker access to the things users are most likely to need: prayer times, Quran reading progress, reading routines, recent listening, quick tools, daily ayah, and saved ayahs. The prayer card has been improved to show the current prayer period with a countdown to the next prayer. The design is cleaner, with larger artwork, better spacing, and less clutter. The Last Read and Continue Listening cards have been redesigned so users can quickly return to Quran reading or audio playback. The cards now use a more polished image-based style and clearer Resume actions.

  The Quran Journey section now tracks daily reading progress, daily ayah goals, streaks, and estimated letters read. Reading routine progress is kept separate so users can clearly understand normal reading progress versus routine progress. Quick Actions have been redesigned into a cleaner 2x2 carousel with local artwork, making it easier to open Quran, Prayer, Qibla, Player, Tasbih, Dua, Downloads, and Search. # Quran reading The Quran reading experience has been improved with a more elegant Surah intro card, better Basmala handling, smoother progress animation, and cleaner navigation between ayahs. The Surah intro now feels more premium and better integrated into the reading page. Decorative Surah name styling and Basmala presentation have been improved. Reading options have been expanded so users can control translation, transliteration, and card view more easily. The reading progress bar has been refined and now animates more smoothly when moving between ayahs or pages. Al-Fatiha ayah 1 is handled correctly so the Basmala is not accidentally hidden. # Quran search A proper Quran search experience has been planned/added so users can search the Quran text for words or phrases, instead of only searching app pages. Search results are intended to show matching ayahs and open directly to the selected ayah. # Reading routines Reading routines have been improved so they behave more realistically. If a user misses part of a day’s assigned reading, the app should no longer treat that portion as completed automatically. Instead, unfinished ayahs carry forward as catch-up reading. Routine reading is now treated separately from normal reading. Continue Routine resumes routine progress, while normal Continue Reading uses the user’s normal Last Read position. Routine reading can still count toward global Quran stats, but it should not overwrite the user’s normal Last Read position. The reading page can now distinguish routine reading from normal reading, so routine progress can show daily quota progress instead of normal Surah progress. # Prayer times The Prayer page has been refined to better match the Home prayer card design. The goal is a consistent prayer experience across the app. Prayer cards have been redesigned toward a cleaner grid layout with larger centered artwork and clearer prayer times. The Prayer page has been simplified by reducing clutter and replacing dense technical information with cleaner date navigation and useful night prayer information such as middle of the night and last third. A subtle disclaimer has been added/planned to remind users that prayer times are calculated locally and should be verified with a local mosque when needed. # Player The audio player has been improved with better sleep timer behavior, clearer options, and cleaner wording. Sleep timer options now focus on useful choices such as 10, 15, 30, 60 minutes, End of Surah, and End of interval when applicable. The player timing sync has been reviewed so the current ayah should update while audio plays, not only after scrubbing. The player page has also been optimized to avoid unnecessary high-frame-rate updates during playback. The playlist design has been improved so Surah numbers can use the same premium badge style as the Quran page. # Share image The share image feature has been improved so ayah cards can resize more naturally based on the amount of text. Short ayahs should create compact, centered cards instead of huge empty backgrounds. Longer ayahs should have more space to breathe without making the text too small. The goal is more beautiful and readable Quran share images across different aspect ratios. # Tasbih The Tasbih page has been redesigned toward a cleaner and more compact experience. Stats should update live as the user taps. The main counter area should be easier to use, with the whole counter card acting as the tap area. The 33/33/34 post-prayer dhikr flow has been improved so SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah, and Allahu Akbar can behave like one grouped session. Completion behavior has also been improved so the counter does not accidentally double-count when a set is completed, and input can pause briefly while the completion animation finishes. # Saved ayahs and Personal Library Saved ayahs are being expanded into a proper Personal Library. Users can save ayahs with folders, tags, and private notes. Saved ayahs can be filtered by favourites, notes, folders, and tags. The Saved tab and Personal Library card have been redesigned to look cleaner and more polished. Favourite buttons are being improved so they fit the saved ayah card design better. Users should be able to create, rename, delete, and organize folders, as well as edit tags and notes. # Stats The Stats page has been improved to better explain Quran reading progress. Stats include daily reading, weekly reading, total ayahs, streaks, routine progress, and estimated Arabic letters read. The wording has been kept careful, using “Estimated letters read” rather than making exact reward claims. The graph detail has been simplified so users are not confused by seeing a Surah label next to a total daily ayah count. The heatmap has been enlarged for better readability. Reading time tracking has also been planned so users can see how much time they spend reading Quran, separate from audio listening time. # Qibla The Qibla page has been polished with a clearer compass experience. The app is moving toward showing Qibla direction, current heading, target bearing, distance to the Kaaba, and sensor accuracy warnings in a cleaner way. The compass behavior is intended to feel smoother and less cluttered. # Settings and themes Settings have been expanded with more personalization options. A daily Quran goal setting has been added/planned so users can choose how many ayahs they want to read per day. More color themes have been added or planned, including Fancy Blue, Fancy Purple, Sepia, Black, and Red. Settings also support clearer management of downloadable resources such as Tafsir, timings, and translations. # More page The More page has been redesigned to feel more consistent with the rest of the app. Feature buttons are being updated to use local image artwork instead of plain icons. The About, Share, and Feedback buttons are being redesigned so they match the rest of the page. The top Islamic Companion card has also been updated with better artwork and stronger visual balance. # Downloadable resources To reduce app size, Tafsir and audio timing files are being moved out of the bundled app and made downloadable. Users can download needed Tafsir sources and timing packs when required. Tafsir can support multiple selected sources, and timing packs can be linked to specific reciters. The same system is being prepared for extra translation downloads in the future. # Translations and app size The app size strategy has been reworked more carefully. Instead of removing core features, the app will focus on reducing heavy packages and moving large text data out of Dart code where possible. Quran text and translations are being moved toward JSON-based storage, with only essential bundled data and optional downloadable translation packs. This keeps the app functional while avoiding unnecessary size from large compiled Dart translation files. # F-Droid compatibility F-Droid compatibility has been improved by removing proprietary Google ad dependencies and using a FLOSS-safe location implementation. The app is being kept compatible with open-source distribution requirements while preserving core features. # Overall This overhaul makes eQuran feel more polished, more consistent, and more useful as a daily Islamic companion. Long press an ayah to reveal options - Much more control on the audio player in the reading page. You can set it continuously, or have it repeat an interval. - Light mode is now usable as opposed to the old version, where the theme would look bad. Let me know if you have suggestions to make it better, because it can still be improved. Looks too yellowish on some themes - Auto light/dark modes added
