Christian Leuenberg nebulous81@iris.to Retro dice puzzle – chain pips, set off bombs, keep the board clear
Piplosion is a retro dice puzzle in 16-bit style. Dice keep dropping into a 6 × 12 grid – tap or swipe to chain matching pips or straights and clear them before the stack reaches the top. Jokers, bombs with chain reactions, a stopwatch that freezes time, a magnet that closes gaps and a MIX meter that reshuffles the board. Rocket rewards at 25k, 50k, 75k and 100k points, chiptune sound and music, German, English and French. Plays fully offline. Optional global hi-score list (only name, score, level and date are stored; server logs are anonymized within 24 hours).

Releases
- Oct 21, 2026 1.4.1- The hi-score list now opens as its own full-screen view: more room for long names, and the global list is no longer cut off on small phones
- Oct 20, 2026 1.4.0- Even higher scores are now rewarded too – see for yourself - Short intro with the THE VIBE IS RIGHT Games logo when the game starts (tap to skip)
- Oct 19, 2026 1.3.1- Fix: a new row arriving while dice are still popping no longer causes a false game over – the row now waits until they are gone - Global hi-score entries also store the game version (not shown), so scores from different rule versions can be told apart; the privacy note says so
- Oct 12, 2026 1.3.0- New 16-bit sound: music and effects now play on an emulated SNES-style sample chip (soft interpolation, light echo); the menu music gains a second voice in its B part - Several bombs going off together now sound like a chain reaction: one blast after another
- Oct 11, 2026 1.2.0- Bottom bar keeps a fixed height, so long hints can no longer shift the board on small screens; shorter hint texts - Hi-score name entry opens as a clean full-screen dialog that stays tidy with the on-screen keyboard - Fresh installs start with a local hi-score table of made-up rivals (top: 35,000) to beat
- Oct 9, 2026 1.1.0- Privacy note at the global hi-score entry now mentions that server logs are anonymized within 24 hours - French: wording improvements by a native speaker - Cleaner pause/play icon; wider MIX button that matches the buttons on the left - Sound button cycles through three modes: music + effects → effects only → all off
- Oct 9, 2026 1.0.0First Android release (Zapstore) – the full game, playable offline. ### Gameplay - Chain 2–6 adjacent dice: matching pips or straights (2-3-4 …) - Jokers (several per chain, but always outnumbered by real dice) - Bombs with chain reactions, a stopwatch that freezes time, a magnet that closes gaps - MIX meter: three bombs charge it, tap to reshuffle the board - Tap the preview to drop the next row early for bonus points - Board-clear bonus, fanfare for 6-chains, rocket rewards at 25k / 50k / 75k / 100k
