Zapstore Catalog Material 3 local music player and YouTube Music client
_InterTune_ is a fork of [OuterTune](https://github.com/OuterTune/OuterTune), which is itself a fork of [InnerTune](https://github.com/z-huang/InnerTune). It is both a local media player and a YouTube Music client. **Features:** - YouTube Music client with song downloading for offline playback, background playback, no ads, and account synchronization - Local audio file playback (MP3, OGG, FLAC, and more) - A custom tag extractor rather than MediaStore's metadata extractor, so tags delimited with a backslash show up properly - Play local files and YouTube Music songs in the same queue - Cast to a Chromecast, an FCast receiver or a DLNA TV - An offline tab listing the songs already cached on the device, so you can see what will play with no connection - Integrated library screen design - Multiple queues - Synchronized lyrics, including word by word and karaoke lyrics (LRC, TTML) - A line in Latin letters under Japanese (romaji, kanji kept), Korean, Chinese, Russian and more, from Android 10 - A ten-band equalizer: ready curves, or the one measured for your own headphones (AutoEq) - Audio normalization, tempo and pitch adjustment, and other audio effects - Choose where Quick picks comes from: YouTube Music, Your library, or Best recommendations, which builds the row on your phone from how you listen - What's playing? names the song around you, using Shazam, and can fill a playlist with what it hears - A home screen widget that takes the shape of its size - Spatial audio on any headphones, with head tracking on supported ones - Android Auto support **What it connects to:** - YouTube Music, for everything you search, play, download or sync. Signing in is optional. - LRCLIB and KuGou, to find lyrics for the song that is playing. Each can be turned off. - AutoEq's measurements on GitHub, only when you look for your headphones in the equalizer. - Shazam, only while you have it listening. A sound fingerprint is sent, with the time and your time zone, never the recording. The cover of a song it finds is loaded from the address Shazam gives. - Last.fm, only if you turn it on. To find similar songs it is sent the title and artist of songs you play, and, once, those of the songs you liked or played in the last month, with no account. If you connect a Last.fm account, the songs you play are also recorded on it, with album, length and the time they started. You sign in on Last.fm's own page. - GitHub, only if you turn on the update check or tap Check for update yourself. The app can then download a new release and hand it to Android's installer, which always asks you first. A copy installed from F-Droid is sent to F-Droid for its update instead. - Polls and announcements, only if you turn them on. They are read from a GitHub gist, and a picture in one is loaded from the address it gives. Opening or answering one is counted on Umami Cloud, with no account and no device identifier. - The usage count, only if you turn it on. Once a day at most it tells Umami Cloud the app is in use: a random name that changes every month, whether it was installed from F-Droid, and the app and Android versions. **Notice:** - Android 7.0 or later. - Something not working? Please report it, from the app (Settings, About, Submit a bug report) or on [GitHub](https://github.com/ItzSkyeYT/InterTune/issues). InterTune is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Google or YouTube.

Releases
- Nov 5, 2026 0.12.9# InterTune 0.12.9 _Radios that stopped after one song in Indonesian, Finnish and Danish, and songs YouTube no longer plays skipped instead of stopping the music._ ## Fixed - **Radios and mixes in Indonesian, Finnish and Danish** keep going after the first song (#83). YouTube writes song lengths as 3.34 there instead of 3:34, and InterTune left out every song whose length it could not read. Albums in those languages had the same gap. - **A song YouTube no longer plays is skipped**, with a short note saying which, instead of the music stopping (#82). Before giving up on a song, InterTune also asks YouTube Music's web player, which still plays some songs the other ways call gone. - Report a problem and the crash page keep what you typed until the report is sent.
- Nov 4, 2026 0.12.8# InterTune 0.12.8 _Report a problem without a GitHub account, backups that keep your sign-ins out, and radios that start again for people signed out._ ## Reporting a problem - **Send a report to InterTune.** Report a problem and the crash page can send the report themselves, no GitHub account needed. Say what happened and, if you like, how to reach you (only the InterTune team sees it). You get a link to follow it. With a GitHub account you can still file it there yourself. - **Share it as a file**: InterTune-report with the day and time, so a long report reaches Discord without Nitro. - The crash page says when a newer version is out and offers Update, since it may already fix the crash.

## Backups - **Backups leave your sign-ins out** unless you tick them, and you pick what goes in. Anyone with a backup file that holds your sign-ins could use those accounts. - A backup holds the library as it stood at one moment, even while the app is writing to it. - A restore puts the library in place in one step, so a crash during it can no longer leave you with an empty library. ## When YouTube does not load - **Radios work again signed out.** If the sign-in page had ever been opened and left without signing in, every radio failed with an error, and with Use login for browsing on, search and Home too. - When search, a radio, a mix or Home cannot load, the app says why: the YouTube sign-in expired, with Sign in again, or YouTube cannot be reached, with Retry and the proxy settings. The Account page says the same when it is empty. - The player's error screen has a Retry button. - An album YouTube stops sending stays in your library: its page shows the songs it had and says it did not load, with Retry. - The proxy takes its address the way people type it, and says plainly when it cannot use one. ## Lyrics - **Save lyrics cards and videos** on the phone: Save sits between Cancel and Share. - Refetch lyrics keeps the lyrics you have until new ones arrive, and says so when none come. - The lyrics follow the song again after you come back to the app: a song paused while you were away left them standing still until they were closed. ## Fixed - A new message takes the place of the one on screen, instead of waiting until it has gone. - Play next works before anything has played. - On a full phone the app no longer closes when it cannot save a like, a play, the queue or a sync. - After a restart the queue that was playing comes back, even when another queue was moved below it. - Removing every song from the queue no longer closes the app. - Downloads that start while the app is in the background no longer close it (#71). - A like sent to YouTube, or a playlist fetched after it is saved, no longer closes the app when something in it fails. - Looking up a song while the queue changes no longer turns shuffle off. - Casting to a speaker that names AAC its own way plays the song instead of refusing it. - A short swipe on a song says it plays next, instead of "inserted into queue". - Importing an M3U file that cannot be read says so. - Sync now says when a sync is already running, instead of "Nothing to sync". - "Play X" from a voice assistant says when the search could not be made, instead of "No results found". - A scan at launch that fails says only that, and linking local artists to YouTube says when it failed instead of "complete". - Never this artist in the song menus says it only changes recommendations. - A long message beside the three listening dots no longer pushes one of them up. ## Other - Polish, Korean and French brought up to date by their translators. The Polish store listing spells InterTune right. - Nov 2, 2026 0.12.7# InterTune 0.12.7 _Downloads in seconds, lyrics videos up to ten minutes, and a Shelf widget in three looks._ ## Downloads - **Downloads finish in seconds.** YouTube sent a song in one piece at about twice its playing speed, so a three-hour mix took over an hour and a half. InterTune now asks for it a megabyte at a time, at full speed. ## Lyrics videos
More…
- **Up to ten minutes.** A lyrics video takes up to ten minutes of the song instead of one, and the screen stays on while it is made. - Living blur in a lyrics video moves with the music, as it does in the player, and is as dark as it is behind your lyrics. It used to drift on its own. - Phones that could not make a lyrics video at all, such as some on older Android versions, make it now. ## Widgets and sharing - **The Shelf widget comes in three looks**: Big cover, Crate and Records, picked in its settings. It fills a big tablet widget too, and mirrors itself in right to left languages. - A song shared as InterTune's page shows its own name and cover in chat apps. ## Fixed - Leaving the app while it starts no longer closes it, and downloads cut short carry on when you come back (#65). - Moving a long download into a download folder no longer closes the app (#67). - With Skip silence on, quiet music plays at its own speed instead of a little faster. - A lyrics video shared to Discord and other apps plays, instead of arriving as a still picture. - The player menu's Equalizer opens InterTune's own equalizer. On most phones it did nothing. - Search lyrics finds lyrics it used to miss: each source is asked on its own, and each artist alone too. Its results show on their own, and Back returns to the search as you typed it. - The Now playing widget shows its picture in the widget picker again, where it said "Couldn't add widget". - With the MediaStore scanner chosen, songs added since the last scan come in with their titles and artists when the app opens. - Search results no longer start with an empty band above the top result. - An album that does not load offers Retry instead of an empty page. - The Exclusions page shows Undo at the bottom of the screen, instead of over its first lines. ## Other - **South Korea.** YouTube Music keeps songs, albums and mixes for Premium there, so InterTune now says so and points to the proxy setting (#68). The proxy page offers a restart when you change it, since a proxy is only taken when the app starts. - Reports say when a copy came from InterTune's updater. - Korean, Turkish and French brought up to date by their translators.
