  ## What's New ### Highlights - **Works with the whole yggmail network again** — the Rust engine now sends and receives mail over QUIC, like Tyr 1.8.x, Tyr Desktop and yggmail. 1.9.0 spoke only its own protocol and was cut off from everyone else (#40). - **Safe upgrade from 1.8.x and 1.9.0** — your `@yggmail` address, mail and chats are kept. Mail that 1.8.x peers could not deliver to a 1.9.0 node arrives after the update. - **Automatic peer selection is back** — on first setup Tyr tests the public peers and keeps the fastest one plus a backup on another network; if the main peer stays down for 2 minutes it switches to the backup. *Peers → + → Pick the best peer* runs it on demand. ### Fixed - Built-in chat: messages from 1.8.x contacts never appeared (they were filed in INBOX instead of the chat mailbox), and messages showed raw headers instead of text - Duplicate deliveries and mail stuck in the outbound queue
